Ghost Server on trace file from SQL Profiler (SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2008)

Hi Friends,

I'll explain my scenario:  I have 2 servers, the first is a SQL Server 2000  and the other is SQL Server 2008, both servers are production servers.  I activated the SQL Profiler from SQL 2008 server for tracing the SQL Server 2000 server.  When i stopped the profiler y checked that in HostName column appeared a server that doesn't exists actually.  I say "it doesn't exists" because i checked de AD and doesn't exists this computer registered, i checked the linked server and it didn't and the most simple proof it means making ping from SQL Server 2000 server to this "ghost computer" and it didn't work.

The only clue that i have is this server exists long time ago and it was extract from AD and extracted from production net (production enviroment).

Please Help me with this, i don't know why happens this!!!.

Thanks for your help

Greetings

Aleds
